You could make a board named Character's Diaries or something. A board where you could post a diary for your char's, where you can have a thread tracker and write who's the chars' friends and enemies, something like that!
And also, you should make a board where you could give a char to someone else, like, someone adopts it! If you lose muse, or don't " have time" for it anymore. And if the one who adopted it doesn't post with it, within a time, you can take the har back or put it up for adoption again!
