Role Play Example : Silver moonlight filtered down from the sky, casting an eerie, pale light on the silent area below. It was a small cluster of trees, not quite a forest. The branches were filled with spring leaves that caught the moonlight, outlining every vein. Perfect calm, such a delicate balance.
Silence.
An authoritative growl shattered the quiet. Two silhouettes shaded the landscape. The moon's eerie glow fell against the two figures. The first was crouching low to the ground tail tucked; the moonlight made him seem weak and sickly as it fell against the high places, like his cheekbones. The second was strengthened by the pale wash; it made the great black dog seem so much bigger, so much stronger as it illuminated the contours of his muscles.
"Get out," growled Nero, the second, larger figure. His black coat was splashed in moonlight , making it seem less of black and more of silvery white. He held himself highly, his tail not tucked into submission, his lips pulled back to bare fierce, sharp teeth. The other dog cowered in fear, shaking, belly up.
Nero shook his head, still holding the other down, muttering under his breath: "Spies... Of course...."
He raised his voice to a level that the other dog could hear.
"A spy. From Lerenzo? I can smell your scent." The scent wasn't strong... Nero could barely smell it. But it was there. A sweet, pure scent, disgusting. Venganza scent was bold.
Nero took his attention off scent and onto the spy.
"What should I do with you?" he pondered, talking both to himself and the spy. "Should I kill you?" He asked, moving his face and teeth dangerously close to the spy's throat. "No... You deserve a trial first."
With that, he grabbed the dog by the scruff, and, half dragging and half carrying the Lerenzo trespasser.
He stood in the center of camp. Nero howled the Alpha's Howl, the howl that called the pack to him for a meeting. Or, in this case, a trial. Once the pack settled around him, Nero opened his mouth to speak.
"Let the trial begin," he boomed. Nero suddenly realized one crucial fact: he didn't know the spy's name... But he wasn't likely to get that information. "The dog you see before you stands here, accused of spying. This Lerenzo dog was discovered inside our lands, hiding when I found him." He turned to the spy. "How do you plead?"
The dog stayed crouched on the ground. His response was so quiet that only Nero could hear. "Guilty."
"The spy pleads guilty. Let the pack voice their suggestions of punishment."
The pack cried their ideas of a fair punishment for spying: most said death, some slavery, and one or two said just banishment, since he got no information. Nero flicked his tail wildly, silencing his pack.
"Lerenzo spy, you are sentenced..." The large black brute couldn't bring himself to say death. He studied the spy again carefully... He was strong enough, without the wounds Nero had inflicted upon discovery. He didn't seem exceedingly clever. He sighed nearly inauidbly, weighed by his decision. "Spy, you are sentenced to a lifetime of slavery to the Venganza pack, unless a re-negotiation takes place, by me." Turning to his deputy he added, "Find him a den away from any places he could escape. I can tell he's a good worker."
And with that, Nero turned and walked into his den.
